If your birthday falls under the Year of the Pig in the Chinese zodiac you have been more likely to become ‘instantly rich’ in the last two years than any other sign.
According to experts at The Lott pigs, which is individuals born after the beginning of February in 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983 and 1995 took out 11.65 per cent of all division one wins in 2021.
They were also at the top of the division one prize winner list in 2020, and according to wealth predictions for 2022 by Feng Shui expert Edgar Lok Tin Yungx, they could be in for another great year.
Chinese legend says those born under the Year of the Pig are said to be generous, honest, and at times, self-indulgent.
People born during the Year of the Pig have been the luckiest Lotto winners over the last two years – according to The Lott, an Australian Lottery agency
Which zodiac was the luckiest first-division winner in the 2021 lottery?
1 – Pig with 11.65% of wins
2 – Horse with 10.53% of wins
3 – Rooster with 9.77% of wins
4 – Goat with 9.02% of wins
5 – Rat with 9.02% of wins
6 – Ox with 8.27%of wins
7 – Snake with 8.20% of wins
8 – Tiger with 7.52% of wins
9 – Dog with 7.14% of wins
10 – Dragon with 6.77% of wins
11 – Monkey with 6.77% of wins
12 – Rabbit with 5.26% of wins
But most importantly they are often wealthy, which could explain their luck in major draws.
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said ‘only time would tell if the pigs would continue to be lucky’.
‘Not only did players born in the Year of the Pig score the most division one wins in 2021, but they also did so in 2020. It’s been a very successful two years for players with this Chinese zodiac sign,’ she said.
Those born in the Year of the Horse were the second luckiest lotto players last year with 10.53 per cent of division one winners falling under the ‘friendly, fun-loving sign’.
Rabbits appeared to have the least amount of luck playing the numbers with just 5.26 per cent of all winners being born in those years.
Other signs who had a rough year with the lottery included monkeys and dragons – who both had 6.77 percent of total division one wins.
Mr Yung recently revealed his health, wealth and life forecast for the Chinese zodiac year – which predicted pigs will continue to thrive.
In his predictions he also mentioned goats, who were the fourth most lucky sign according to The Lott’s data, would see an increase in wealth in 2022.
And it is especially good news for rabbits, according to the Chinese zodiac master, who also predicts a boost for the sign at the bottom of last year’s winners list.
But for those born in the Year of the Rabbit playing the numbers have been less successful – data reveals
The Lott have released the data ahead of this Saturday’s $20million Superdraw on Saturday.
Ms Ramsamy said the draw could indicate which sign is in luck in 2022 before advising customers register for their best chance to secure a prize.
She added being of any specific sign doesn’t ‘guarantee’ your numbers coming up.
‘Players often tell us they are superstitious about where, when and how they buy their tickets,’ she said.
‘But whatever your Chinese zodiac sign is, it’s important to remember that lotteries are entertaining games of chance and every number on your ticket has an equal chance of being drawn, no matter when you were born.’
